The mission of Creative Services is to humbly serve the Northside staff and congregation with our skills and strengths.

The Creative Services team is equipped to help the church at large and its ministry areas in creative planning and development of themes, identities, and promotions as well as carry out the design and output of those plans into many formats (print, web, signage, environmental, etc).

Our goal is to establish a greater continuity of all forms of visual and auditory presentation, whether it be print, web, multimedia and beyond. This continuity is achieved through a collaborative effort between the ministry and support staff.

The Creative Services team strives to unite the vision and mission of Northside Church under a standard of excellent communication while elevating the level of congregational awareness and activity in the life of the church.

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. [Romans 12:3-7].

The communications of our church are facilitated by the Creative Services department.  CS is responsible for the design and production of printed media (such as the monthly newsletter, weekly announcements, weekly worship bulletins, postcards, posters, forms, stationery, banners, signage, T-shirts and other promotional items) and electronic media (web sliders, websites, email campaigns, online registration forms, social media, photo galleries, and online content updates).  All requests for Creative Services must be submitted by a Northside staff member via the forms on this site.

  • Photographic Quality

In order for an image to print clearly, we need the highest resolution possible, which generally means that the file size is larger. Here are some quick guidelines to help you out.

    1. Images pulled from a website are unacceptable in most instances (computer screens display at a lower resolution than printed materials and images on the web are usually downsized to accommodate this).

    2. Images need to be at the highest resolution possible – generally the file size is a good indicator of the resolution. We need images that are around 2 - 3MB or higher. 1 Megabyte (MB) is equal to 1,000 Kilobytes (KB). Example: If your file is 100KB, it will be very blurry when printed.

    3. If you are pulling photos from your phone camera, there is usually an option (specifically on iPhones) to send them at “Actual Size”instead of a compressed smaller size. Sending photos in the body of an email as opposed to attaching them to the email can also cause compression. You want to avoid any option that reduces the size/resolution of the photo file.

  • Newsletter Requests

Content & photos (Due one month in advance of publication month):

The goal of this publication is to engage and inspire our congregation with the story of Northside. Use this resource to submit personal stories that will make our readers want to get involved in the work God is doing in our church.

The deadline for monthly newsletter submissions is the first business day of the month preceding the month of publication (example: the deadline for the February edition of the newsletter is January. Articles and photos must be submitted as a [Newsletter Request]. Be advised that this is a firm deadline and thus the submission form disappears at the close of business on the due date.

  • Web Requests

Please submit all web-related requests via our form. We request 2 days for email set-up and website updates and 2 weeks for anything containing a new design.

  • Print Requests

Note: All print requests require exact wording and a two week lead time for completion. For updates to an existing design, we ask for two days.

Postcards are a great way to promote your events, programs, and ministries. They come in two sizes: 4.25×5.5” (1/4 sheet) or 5.5×8.5 (half sheet). For orders over 300 pieces, the cards must go to an out-of-house press, necessitating an additional week for production.

Creative Services administers five double-sided poster stands around the church campus for 24×36” posters. You may request a poster for your event through our Event Request. We will put up posters around the church as timing and space allows.

T-shirts (Lead Time: 1 month from order to design to delivery)

Artwork must be delivered to vendor a minimum of two weeks before the shirts are due back. Larger quantities may require more time. Tee shirts are produced off site.
